Dot Distribution Maps

Dot distribution maps use dots to describe a specific quantity of a given variable.
In this map, farmers who have been subsidized by the 2006 Emergency Farm Relief Act are being represented. Each dot represents 1 recipient of a disaster payment. The dot distribution in this maps does a good job of showing spatial pattern. In this case it shows how most of the recipients are from the Midwest and South.
